Joy Donahue - CEO
I am Joy Donahue and I own Joyful Sounds Farm. I was born and raised in South Carolina, I'm a true country girl at heart. As a child, I spent many hours at my Great Grandmother's knee. My love of animals, gardening, crocheting and creating came from my time with her. I remember following her peacocks around the garden, waiting on one to drop a feather for me, and I knew one day I would have my own peacocks. At 8 years old, I begged her to teach me how to crochet. Watching her turn those beautiful yarns into blankets was fascinating. My appreciation for simple, good things came early in my life. My desire to share those things came when I started my own farm. I did get my very own peacocks – and goats, chickens, ducks, geese, guineas – even a horse! As my family and my farm grew, a business was born. Now I create quality handmade items and use my talents to support my farm. I think my Grandma Corrie would be proud.
